Google is extending its Street View website with photographs of off-road destinations that have previously not appeared online - by using specially-adapted tricycles.

Since its launch in 2007, the controversial site has allowed viewers to see images of individual homes, shops, offices and pubs taken by a fleet of cars.

But now the service will let users go beyond public streets and along footpaths and into parks, historical landmarks and gardens.

The novel off-road vehicles will allow Street View to increasingly include images of public and private sites such as Kew Gardens in London, hiking trails in California and Sea World in Orlando, Florida.

Actually they have already done WDW and IOA in Orlando.
WDW is actually built in Google Earth in 3-d, if you havent seen this activate 3-d in google earth and go close in on the Magic Kingdom and let it load, it takes a bit.
I think Google earth of SDC would be a lot of fun.
SDC could let them let them roll through, it wouldn't be in theme but I think we could live with the trike for the results.

This year when I go to SDC I am going to take pictures or videos while walking through the park and shops. A Day in the Life of an SDC-goer. I hope it goes well because I need my SDC fix every once in a while.

THAT idea, Haytater, is exactly what I was hoping for! I had mentioned that sometime back. I thought it owuld be cool to have a video camera running at around eye level so that anyone can visit SDC anytime and have the eye level view.
Or...
Just take a dump truck full of pics to have on here so that we can see almost anyplace we want. I hope it works out for you too!
