SOmetimes being able to take a break between 2 days is sometimes a good thing.
These folks are from Chicago so they will have a hard time with the humidity and heat, that may be just what they need.

Just posting with "hope springs eternal" effort. I am looking for any kind of break for admission today (May 25, 2012). I have 3 adults and 3 children, and there is no way I can afford the prices for all. If anyone can offer anything - and I know this short notice may be hopeless - it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, well I am guessing nobody was able to help out.  Its tough when you have a big group and are trying to fit it all in financially.  Maybe next time you could check sooner, most all of the members here seem to like to help out other members and those in need.

Found a discount offer at the local McDonald's this morning:   http://www.flickr.com/photos/juniordugan
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

AAA (auto club) has discounted tickets too. It's only a couple bucks off but every little bit helps. 2 day ticket for 54.66 (site lists 1 day ticket for $56) and a season pass for 82.61 as opposed to 85 so not a big discount but better than nothing

Are there currently any discounts available for SDC tickets?  We will be in Branson from 7/23 - 7/27 and are flexible on what day we go.  Thanks

This is a topic that we touch on all the time...

the best discount price is 2 days for the price of 1 day.... you buy a ticket and you can visit 2 days out of 3.... Has to be within the 3 days of each other..

You can purchase these all over Branson,,,,  You can also purchase them at the local motel that we have discounted rates with,,,

We stay Homestay In for only 40.00 per nite AND they have the discounted tickets..417-336-2666

homestay is also only about a 10 minute drive from silver dollar city..

hope this helps.

Idk what the BAF dates are for this year, but I could REALLY use one for anytime between July 29- Aug 3rd. I know you arent allowed to sell them, which I think is a good thing, but I would so appreciate  being able to take my 4 y.o. daughter for "vacation" and would gladly reimburse shipping!

Times are hard, God Bless those who are willing to help each other out and make life a little easier and better.

please email me if you can help!

Tibbles: Now with the BAFs you have to have the season pass holder present and they have to exchange the BAF vouchers for the real thing......
The smell of asphalt and butane says home!

Sanddune is right about Homestay.  If I needed a place to stay, that would be my choice based on reviews.  If you can find inexpensive lodging, that might make those tickets a little more affordable for you.  Good luck.

I just found this site and was amazed to see all the support of the exorbitant admission.  When I first visited SDC, the admission was $8 and it was VERY reasonable compared to other parks.  I agree that SDC offers a completely different experience from most other parks and one that I personally find infinitely more appealing.  I have absolutely no interest in Six Flags or Disney (although I live less than an hour from Orlando).  But what SDC fails to take into account is its appeal to older visitors.  My husband and I are retired.  We have no desire whatsoever to ride any of the rides and neither of us is physically able to do the cavern tour (although I did it many years ago).  How about a discount for those of us who would gladly waive (in writing if necessary) access to those pieces and let us enjoy the rest at a price we can afford?
