Since I don't have school today, I promised Mom I would run errands for her. I had to go to my grandma's to pick up something and she had just finished making cinamon rolls for a friend's birthday. The second I opened the door... oh my gosh y'all!!  And of course they had just repaved the street outside her house. I walked into her living room with a huge smile on my face and Grandma's like, "What is wrong with you?"

Nice post Tiff. I was at a grocery store over the weekend and the asphalt was getting hot. My kids were with me, and when I started smiling they knew exactly what I was thinking. My son says I am an addict and obsessed with SDC. What do y'all think?

While playing in the pool sending my husband in circles around perameter while sitting in the middle with the noodle (the kind with the hole in the middle) and when he least expected it I "RiverBlasted" him......

Also today while playing in the pool I "hid" dimes quarters and nickles (silver) my son pretended to be Rube Dugan and my husband played Eli Toltz in a daring game of Rube Dugans Diving Bell.....

I must say that Silver Dollar City has turned me into a bit of a snob when it comes to food. Went to a Springfield Cardinals game this week. Everyone around me were getting funnel cakes, and they smelled so good, so I had to get one. I was sorely disappointed. SDC has spoiled me: my funnel cake just did not compare. I do the same thing with peanut brittle. I won't eat it if I knew it came from somewhere else. It's just never as good.

I am notoriously bad about drinking enough water. It's not that I don't like water, and I'm not drinking anything else like soda, I just forget to drink water during the day. I decided if I carried around a water bottle I might be better about drinking. I got a nalgene bottle to carry around, but the top screwed on and it sweated all the time and overall just wasn't as convenient as I first thought. I was better about drinking water, but still not as good as I should be about it.
Then it dawned on me: I have a ton of SDC mugs I "liberated" from my parent's garage sale. Double walled (so no sweating), no screw top (I use a straw instead--so much easier), and it makes me happy! All I have to do is look over at my mug and I'm guaranteed to smile. (Plus I'm drinking more water, which was the goal in the first place. hahaha)
