Rube, didnt you say you own propety on indian point?

rubedugans

Indeed we do, but it is only property at this point. After falling on love with the lake, and spending so much time there, we found the perfect spot to settle down (eventually!).

i thought you had mentioned it last year when they had a BAD storm/tornado at or near indian point.

Well we are here!! Staying at Compton ridge, been here a couple days and thought post out thoughts about the place since we have not stayed here since the Simms have owned it. Well I honestly don't think we will be back! Only thing we have to look forward to is silver dollar city this afternoon and all day tomorrow!!!

Are you camping at Compton Ridge or staying in the lodge/motel?

Swoosh

Since I moved to accommodate my new job last fall, I'm closer to Branson now and just make it a day trip and don't use a hotel.

My Sister in Law had an apartment in Branson last year as she was studdying at Skaggs.  I did stay with her last year.  This year I cant find a place better than Homestay, they let me take my dog and are all very nice and accommodating.  The SDC fans discount on top of this makes it a no brainer.

We own a condo now, but we used to stay at the Carriage House on Green mountain dr, it was always pretty nice. Almost always had the pool to ourselves.

Sorry all we were busy! Lol and yes we camped did not stay in the lodge. Well we should have stayed at home stay inn! Next time for sure.

I have stayed at a lot of different hotels over the past few years (many of them more than once), and I can honestly say that I have not had as good of a stay anyway as I do when I am at the Homestay Inn.

Saaam!

In 2004, 2005, and 2006 we stayed at the Wyndham Meadows Condos, a few minutes south of the business district of Branson. We skipped our 2007 trip to Branson that year, and the next year (2008) we we stayed at Thousand Hills Condos. We're finally going back to Branson for a week this summer and returning to our original condos- Wyndham Meadows.

It's nice to go back to the place we originally started our Branson visits. My childhood is wrapped up in these condos and I can't wait to go back. :)

How-doFolks

I answered this topic back in 2010! Well, now it is a differant answer. We now stay at Shady Acre Motel in Branson West, its about 1 mile from SDC. Lots of trees around & very quiet. About $45.00 a night.

For the past year we have been staying at HomeStay Inn, thanks to Paige & Cherie and their wonderful discount. We love the Hospitality, the clean rooms, the location, & the fact they accept pets.
Growing up, my parents & I tried out a lot of different Hotels in Branson. Our go-to Hotel was typically the Honeysuckle Inn.
Another favorite of ours has been The Bradford Inn. It's family owned and opperated. Each room has its own theme. The owner fixes an AMAZING breakfast every moring in a beautiful 2 story breakfast room / hearth room. The view is nice, it sits on hwy 265 and overlooks the 76 strip / former Celebration City property. Check out their website

You have a great past just ahead of you.

Growing up we stayed at Treasure Lake (when I was with my grandparents) or at White Oak in Branson West (with my parents). Hubby and I stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites at Branson Meadows last year and Honeysuckle Inn a few weeks ago for our anniversary (both have rooms with jetted tubs). My parents usually stay at the Comfort Inn/Suites at Branson Meadows when they stay in Branson, too.
