I think my mom decided we are getting the pass. Oh well. It's her money. Mine will be spent on funnel cakes and ice cream :)

After that, I'll need to park as far away as I can so I can walk it off!!

It's interesting to read everyone's preference on the matter. For some, the free parking is very important, and for others, the pay to park is very important. As long as they don't start charging to ride the parking lot tram I'll be happy.  ;)

Just like the drive to SDC, the walk from the car never seems that far on the way IN...but just like the drive home...the walk back to the car always seems to take soo much longer! Probably because my wife is prying me off of every light post and sign on the way out with me screaming "I don't wanna go I don't wanna go!!!!!!"

I was wondering who that guy on the light pole was everytime I left the park

The Season Pass $18 Parking pass is a good example of SDC listening to its guest comments.  Enough people voiced their opinion and now SDC is experimenting with it.  SDC does listen to their guests.

Copper, agreed.. It will be interesting to see how this program works, I see the reserved parking full all the time.

What will they do IF the parking is full AND you have a pass?

jmc75

First they are only going to sell 1000 passes but on the pass it actually indicates limited space and that first come first serve. Though I do not think that I have ever seen that lot ever full.

tiffanylynnt

I've seen the lot full a few times. Mostly during the summer.

I have also seen the reserved/handicap parking area full a fe times this year.

I've seen the lot full before too. I've also seen the "preferred parking" only about 50 feet away from free parking. As it fills up seems they just keep pushing it farther back.

Are these only being sold at the park? I didn't see an option to order it when I ordered our season passes the other night.

I wonder if they sold out.
The only thing I am not big on with the pass is that it is a sticker that gets put on your car. Well what if on occasion you take the other car. To me it should be tied to the pass holde kinda like at six flags. I am hoping that since this is the first year maybe they will tweak it next year.

Not to mention, the people parking just 50 feet away get a nice tram ride directly to the front gate. :P

It would be nice if they issued parking placards that hang from your review mirror. However, I suppose that would just encourage misuse. Figure out a way to simply leave the sticker attached to its non adhesive backing, and slip it in the front windshield, or something. ;D

Take a roll of scotch tape with you and make it look like the pass is stuck to your car!

I'm sorry... cheating's bad.  :P
