This may, or may not have already been mentioned. However, Andy Williams has announced that he has bladder cancer, and that he may miss most of his Christmas shows. However, he does plan to return to the stage eventually.

I've heard that too, also rumor has it he won't be back next year either. I'm fishin' to see what else I can find out. It's sad as Andy Williams is like a main act here.  :(

According to StL news-"Odds are that he'll be canceling his holiday shows. He was quoted as saying cancer is not a death sentence anymore, and he will beat it."

I have also heard repeatedly this weekend, he will not be back next year.

thats a great attitude to have. To be that confident that you will kick cancer. more power to ya A. Williams! Here is to a speedy recovery and many more years of entertainment

Sad to hear this news as well. My Aunt had sent me an e-mail, and it was the first one I read this morning.
You have a great past just ahead of you.

So sorry to hear of this!  What a legend!! I was hoping to see his show in November.

Wow, this news just hits so deeply! What an incredible talent, singer, and person Andy was! He brought joy, magic, and heart to so many generations. He was the cornerstone of Branson, and he leaves behind shoes that only the memories, and experiences we all have of him could fill. :'(

Sad to hear this news. It had already been announced that other celebrities would play the remainder of the season at the theater, I wonder what the fate of it will be? Anyone know about the fate of the Dick Clark theater in Branson since he died, I have not looked on recent trips at what was going on there. I know it was damaged in the tornado this spring.

the dick clark theatre was one of the 1st ones repaired and put back into action!!  they have a full line up of shows going on...the restaraut is doing very well,  the bar "Club 57" seems to be doing a good business... And I noticed a month or os ago there is a car museum also in the lower level...i think access is on the west side.......

I would expect the andy williams theatre to stay open as well, they have good shows there.. no reason to shut it down, and the bar and grill there is a local favorite..

It was truly a sad day in the passing of Andy Williams.  My fondness memory is the show I took my girls to Andy performed with Ann Margaret.  I loved his christmas shows and felt it was a family tradition to attend.

My daughter told her mother that I would probly cry  when I heard the news. I understand that he died at his home in Branson.
