I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!

In the words of Tiny Tim... "God bless us, everyone!" (soap falls from the ceiling and I have a huge smile on my face the rest of the day.)

COngrats Tiffany, something I don't have!

I also had an SDC Christmas. An autographed Crystal Payton book, 5 early 80s large post cards, a family tin type from SDC, and a small silver charm in the shape of MO that says Marvel Cave Park on it.

My mom said, "You can thank eBay for those mugs, cuz I've never seen these at the park... ever!" ;D

Tiff those mugs were sold in the Saloon in the '90s I think...probably mid to late '90s. You got a root beer float in them or a soda of some type. I had one too, but yard saled it years ago. Boo Hoo!

Well, every now and then, things just start piling up, and nobody around my house appreciates the SDC or Shepherd of the Hills stuff except for me. So, from time to time I sell an item or two at a yard sale or give it to someone who I think will enjoy it. I sent a box of stuff to RUBE last year. He said he really appreciated it, and apparently kept it with the rest of his collection. At one time our family had a bunch of Dixie Stampede boot cups, but they too found a home somewhere else at a yard sale. The paperwork and publicity stuff from my years working at the park will never be sold. It remains kept safely in a file cabinet. As you know, every now and then I dip into that stuff and post some of it on the Flickr site for everyone else to enjoy.

I would probably have only been about 6 or 7, so I probably wouldn't have seen them because my mom always found us seats while dad ordered drinks and stuff before the show.

Those Stampede boot mugs seem to breed in the cabinet. I guess it doesn't help that I have 4 kids, and we've gone at least once a year for the past 10 years or so (even had to go to Pigeon Forge when we were there). I've sold them countless times at yard sales, yet they keep returning. That and wacky quackers.....

We have a ton of SDC refillable mugs accumulating on top of the fridge. Somehow my cousing broke one, so we bought a new mug to replace it, even though we have enough mugs we never would have missed the broken one.
