Countdown to 2012 season

Also there is no cover on the ride as there was after the 2nd or 3rd year. I was always under the impression they covered the ride because it was possible to flip the boats and they didn't want people falling over the side. It was a fun ride but I was always relieved when I got off.

^Nope, this was in recent years after the "upgrades". They used heavy duty inflatable rafts with seat dividers and removed the tunnels.

Only about three weeks to go.

Gonna get a preview to the season this Saturday in Olathe! Homestead Pickers are doing a concert at a church here. Yeehaw, some laughs and fun are in my SDC-less future!

Very excited for this season, as a former citizen and team lead who left with some hard feelings over how some longtime citizens were being treated on various personnel issues, i went several times the season after I quit and just did not have fun. But I stayed away last year and I am so ready and happy to just go as a guest again and enjoy the park.

The very reason I went to work at SDC in the first place, I really love that place, can't wait!
