I left Friday after my sister (Brittany) and her friend (Kylee) got out of school, then we had to go to Kylee's house for her to get her stuff and we ended up leaving town around 5pm because we had to get gas in the car, go to the bank, all that good stuff. We stopped in Rolla to eat and with all the other stops along the way, we ended up at Deer Run Motel around 8:30/8:45ish. I went into the lobby with my mom to check in. The guy working the desk had his dog with him. The dog walked up to me, licked my leg then laid on my feet :). The guy asked what are plans are while we are in town. I grinned real big and said, "Silver Dollar City!". He went to hand me a Pathfinder and I said, "Psht... I don't need that!" And he smiled like he knew exactly why I didn't need a Pathfinder and he said, "Hold on. I have something I bet you'll like." He went into the back room and came back with a Special Edition Pathfinder where the whole thing is about Outlaw Run ;D. I didn't bring my swimsuit so while Brittany and Kylee were swimming, I tried climbing the fence around the pool, ended up falling, scratching up my foot and bruising my knee. After the pool closed, we went into town and went to Andy's. We walked from Andy's to the Hollywood Wax Museum while eating our Andy's. On the way back, my sister almost got sick from her chocolate custard with extra fudge and every chocolate topping available, and Kylee was goofing off and walked into a street sign. So that was Friday! lol

I got up early Saturday morning and walked around the back of the motel to look at the hills (acutally the fog covering the hills) and breathed in the beautiful Ozark Mountain air while waiting for everyone else to get up. We got the City around 9ish, ate breakfast at Molly's then went to the candy factory and watched fudge being made. After that, we went to TNT and we pretty much walked right onto the ride. Next was the train. Kylee about died laughing at the cheesy jokes. The robbery show has changed a little bit since the last time I saw it, but it was still funny. We went to the candle shop where I got 2 candles on clearance for around $8. Brittany and Kylee were dipping candles and Brittany was sticking her fingers in the wax to but designs on her candles. She said it wasn't really hot so I went to see how hot the wax was. I didn't realized the container was as full as it was, so I ended up sticking half of my hand in hot wax. After I got all the wax off of my hand, we went to the saloon. My sister and I stood there quoting the entire show while standing in line, probably ruining it for everyone else (oh well ;)) And Kylee kept giving us weird looks. After the show, Kylee called us weird for knowing the whole show by heart. We wandered around, did some shopping, then it started raining. We ran into the pottery shop and shortly after we got in there, half of Stone County was crammed in the shop complaining about the rain. We decided we didn't hate the rain as much as we hated being hungry so we went to Wagon Works Grill where I had the most amazing chicken wrap ever. While we were eating, it stopped raining. When we were done eating, my mom and I went to hold a place in line for the Booth Brothers while Brittany, Kylee, and Dad were shopping. It started raining while we were standing in line. We finally got into Echo Hollow and got pretty good seats. It rained right up to the second the host got on stage and didn't rain a single drop the rest of the concert! We counted ourselves lucky and said, "This is never going to happen again!" The concert was probably the best one I had ever been to ;D.

The album should be public, if it's not, let me know and I'll fix it.

My family and I went to the city yesterday and it rained cats dogs and elephants. But the crowd level was low and I was able to meander. The working chuckwagon was pretty cool. They were giving out samples of this clear liquid that was cold and cider/clove flavor. Super good. My kiddo was celebrating his birthday and got a ribbon saying so. Everyone gave him special attention. He even got to stir the corn in the giant skillet across from buckshot annies. The ladies there were super nice to him. We didnt do much in the way of rides. We did ride the train and Outlaw Run........you have to be there to see it. Words cant describe the sheer amazing hugeness of this massive coaster. We didnt do a dinner there this time. We got a bag of pork rinds and went to Lamberts instead. Didnt stay long due to the rain. But it was still a nice time. Grandfathers mansion was leaky. It needs repairs. :( That was about it for the trip. It was a good time. Nice and cool. The decorations were amazing. Purchased a log of lye. Yes thats right a log! Will last me a year!

A log/year?

My family and I go through two every fours months or so.

MissinTheGreenTrams

Its just me who uses it. My kid on occasion. Maybe my math is right...... ::)

Gilligan

Trams, what do you use it for?  Maybe I should buy some on my next trip.

MissinTheGreenTrams

What dont I use it for?? I have really itchy skin and it licks it. I use it when the kid gets in a mess of poison ivy. I use it for mosquito bites. Or when my kid gets hives. I have got a small chunk and smooshed it in a zip lock with some water and made it laundry detergent when needed. My hubby uses it when he goes hunting to get rid of human scent......the list goes on.

We shower and shampoo with it every day.

I don't use lye soap, but I do use real soap. 99% of what you see on the store shelves isn't true soap, and most of it doesn't say "soap" anywhere on the package.
