Have you ever lost or ruined any of your personal items while at the park?

Ofcourse, i have ruined afew t-shirts by droppin' food on them. I had a pair of red tenna shoes on 1 time while at the park, & went to Guyser Gulch & got super wet. My socks were wasted, & red! Back in the day, cigaretts were always in danger of getting wet. No problems with that anymore.

I dont think i have ever lost anything tho'....

Lost a camera when it was hung by a person in our group on the stall door in the potty, and they forgot to get it upon finishing/ leaving. Somewhere, someone has my photos in their collection!

Gilligan

Not really lost, but someone stole my reusable mug when I was standing at the counter at Sullivan's Mill.  I always wonder if they drank the spoiled orange juice that was in it.

I've said this in one of the other forums, but here it goes anyway:
I was wearing a pair of baggy sweatpants and I forgot my phone was in my pocket and I went on WF. The phone fell out of my pocket and when the ride was over, the phone was sitting on the floor of the ride. I guess I can thank gravity for that! The back did fall off tho, never to be seen again, and I had to keep the battery taped in until a few months later at prom, the phone got stolen.

My husband lost his favorite ball cap while riding the American Plunge.

KBCraig

My son who is now 21, was 15 when he lost his brand-new Blackberry Pearl while riding Wildfire.

We stopped at Lost & Found to report it, but of course we never heard anything back. Thankfully, it was insured and he got another one.

Grapeslie

A friend of mine lost her phone on powder keg. We reported it to lost & found and sure enough a few days later we received it in the mail with a letter saying they found it under the second hill! And somehow it wasn't broken! Miracle!

I was in the park and left a $1700 Nikon camera sitting on a rock wall.  Walked away from it for a second and never saw it again.
Ashamed to admit that but its true.

I've always been super careful about not losing things, but one summer my wife and I went to SDC with the intent of riding the water rides we usually miss on our spring/fall trips.  We locked anything that could get wet in the car and I went into the park with nothing but my wallet and the key to my car (took the ring and keyless fob off to keep them dry).  I spent the entire day nervously checking my pocked to make sure the key hadn't slipped out.  We were leaving for the day and wildfire had no line, so we figured we'd go one more time since there was no waiting.  I checked before the ride and the key was there, but sure enough, after the ride I checked my pocket and NO KEY.  We stopped at the stroller rental by OM and they called a locksmith who met us in the parking lot.  No offense towards branson residents but the "locksmith" showed up with his girlfriend and I couldn't get over the fact that they had 4 lit cigarettes in the car for the two of them, and I think I had more wisdom teeth on my bottom jar they the two of them had in total teeth between them...pretty shady characters.  He had the car open in about 90 seconds and he said "$60", I handed him my visa (I don't carry cash), he said "cash only."  I was worried, but he followed me to an ATM and I got the cash out to pay him.  Fortunately it turned out ok, but I was pretty worried I'd have an unpleasant experience with an "Ozark collections agency." My wife was nice about it too, she knew I felt terrible about it.  I carry emergency cash now...I've learned my lesson.
