Does anybody buy the photos they take of you on some of the thrill rides like Wildfire or Powder Keg? How about the tintype shop? Do you and your family dress up and get a group photo while on your trips? Our family had one made when I was a kid in 1978. I did some individual tintypes in costume when I worked at SDC, and had a group tintype made each year at end of summer. Since then...not once. If you have a ride photo or a tintype, post it here, I'm sure everyone would love to take a look. You can see several of my tintypes from those days long ago on my flickr site. Only ride photo I have ever purchased oddly enough is Buzzsaw Falls, funny since that is the only ride that isn't there anymore!

The two in the front are my friend RJ and my sister Brittany, then I'm in the seat behind them. (They made me ride with a stranger.)

This was from the Show Choir trip I'm always talking about... We decided to pose for this picture.
The three in the back is me, Natasha, and my best good friend Robby. The ones in front of us are Michaela, Kim and Amber.
We were seriously the only teenagers in the park all day, except for a band from one of the local high schools. The rest of the people were at least 60+

The very back row (from left to right) is Kaneasha, CJ, Brittany and Austin. Then Kelsey is in the green shirt in front of Brittany, and I'm in the red shirt in front of Austin. The kid in the orange shirt next to Kelsey flirted with her the whole time we were in line then followed us around the rest of the day.

Front row: CJ & Kaneasha, then me and Kelsey, then Austin and Brittany.
I have no idea why Austin was making that face... He gave a reason but I can't remember lol

I have more from when I was younger, but I'd have to dig through boxes and albums. If I eventually come across them, I'll try to post them.

We never did the ride-photo thing. But my parents do have two tintypes. One with me as a baby taken at the outdoor photo place that was by the old taffy shop cabin (across from the train) and a second one years later when my brother and I were young taken indoors at the tintype shop at the bottom of Hill street.  Next time I go home I'll try to remember to snap a shot of them.

Off topic: I wish there was an outdoor photo option still. I would love to have one of me and hubby, but the indoor sets look so cheap/fake to me, and I want an option for my picture besides "Saloon".  :-\

I also have some photos that aren't tintypes but are just as special to me. Two years a friend and I went to the park during the fall dressed up in our pioneer outfits. We got some really nice pictures taken in the school house and around the homestead. I'll try to dig those up also.
"Red Flanders, you come back in here and put on your pants!" "Well Sadie, I ain't got no pants no more. The dang Baldknobbers stole 'em!"

I have tintype from 1980 - my Homeland Security son was 3 months old at the time and wearing a gown and bonnet!  He hates that picture; of course, I love it!  I'll try to post it, but I never have much luck on here.

Ozarks Gal - Outdoor picture option, great idea!! SDC should think about that..
