???   So Homestay and Econo are closed -- where to stay the weekend of December 14, 15, & 16?  We might be able to squeeze in a visit that weekend. Any suggestions?

I've stayed at Green Mountain Inn a few times.  I was pleased with it, and the owner, Sandy, is very nice and helpful.  I think it's about $45-50/night.

Deer Run isnt too bad at all. Good breakfast and nice people.
The smell of asphalt and butane says home!

Deer Run is pretty good - Trams is right.  And, there isn't any traffic to fight - you can walk or they offer a shuttle.

Have stayed at Green Mountain before -- for us once was enough.

What's the rate for Deer Run?

Has anyone stayed at Classic Motor Inn?

How-doFolks

ya might try Shady Acre Motel in Branson West, its about a half mile from the entrance to SDC. its less than $50.00 a night.

Twelve Oaks Inn is nice and clean with good rates. We have stayed there for years. We are also going to give the Carriage House Inn a try next year.

My wife and I have stayed at the Clarion across from Baldknobbers and found it to have nice rooms. Breakfast is alright, too. Overall,a little bit more pricy, but again, rooms and service were fine.

We ended up staying at the Classic Motor Inn on SOH. Rates were comparable to Homestay. Rooms are a bit larger than Homestay. There are evening snacks and the breakfast includes biscuits and gravy, pastries, French Toast, cereal, and toaster waffles. Classic Motor Inn is also open all year.

Were the owners/manager and workers all "local" help..

I am pretty "picky" about that detail..

i will not stay anywhere that does not have ALL Local employees....  ( if you catch my meaning)
