Man I can say this year has been a crazy roller coaster for us - but not a fun one like OR, PK, TNT, WF, or FITH - This year started off with car repairs, then my layoff, then extensive overtime. Now its back to Jeep repairs again. Now I have been working good hours, but 2 sets of parents that my wife watches kids for, has been evicted and has to move.  They are not going to pay now until like early Jan. And will get caught up completely at tax time.  Big stinkin deal. Now all the money I make will not pay our bills, I need her money too, (which we are not getting now).

So I guess between Christmas gifts, Jeep repairs, non-paying parents.  It looks like we have been to Branson the final time this year (at the beginning of Oct.).  This might be the first time in 27 years that we do not spend Thanksgiving at SDC.  Good golly, What a freakin miserable stinkin year.  Not to mention Obamacare just bit me hard.  Our policy at work is no longer good. We had to get a new policy. Rates went from $40 (every other week) to an astounding $180 (every other week) starting Jan.

Oh well we will just see what happens I guess. Have fun all that can go!

WOW Qwed!  That stinks!  It's not been a stellar year for us either, but you've had more than your share.  I hope things will improve for you very soon!

Well thanks Gilligan. But this is just our physical life. Remember physical life is only about 10% of what happens, and the other 90% is how you accept it/react to it.  We are still trying hard to go for "at least" 1 night over Thanksgiving. (We had planned on the usual 3 nights), but that is obviously -out!

However we have a "MASTER" if you will, that has a much greater plan.  If his plan is for us to NOT go, then we must listen and obey. His way will always be the best way "in the end".

And really, this year has been a big blow to our bank account, but we still have electric, cars, and a freezer full of food. Not to mention cell phones, and DirecTv.
(What Im trying to say is), we still have things that we can let go and not kill us physically. (If it comes to that). and we do need a car because the closest bus stop (near my house) is actually about 500 feet from my work driveway. Which is 25 miles from home.

So really no money does not mean "no life". Things are still pretty good. I have a fairly large family that I get to see at least every Sunday in Church. Its just a matter of being creative with the money you are blessed with. And enjoying the down time to get to know whats really important. PEOPLE YOU LOVE

Maybe, maybe, maybe if I can tolerate the drive, the hubs and I will be there Wed. - Mon.  We're not sure what evening we'll be at the City - whatever is deemed the least crowded as it's not a good idea to be jostled around much yet.

Still planning on arriving Friday.  Thanks to very dear member here, my Son & GF just might be with us.  It all depends on snail mail from here.  (Thank You to -- you know who you are)  I wont mention the name, but some may know this name has meaning, some may have never seen the show.
