I Can't Take It Anymore!

I've been through every internet hotel booking site there is, and I'm more confused now than when I started, so I'm basically throwing myself at your mercy.

I'm going to take my folks down to SDC for a few days in May (21st-24th) for the Bluegrass and BBQ festival, and I'm looking for a fairly nice hotel to stay in.  Two separate bedrooms, a kitchen/kitchenette area...just a nice comfortable room to spend about three nights in.  I'm not looking for the Chateau, but I don't want to end up in something...unpleasant, either.  As far as price goes, I'd like to limit it to $500-600 for the three night stay, but at this point, I'm negotiable.

Any suggestions from you veterans would be DEEPLY appreciated!

how about a cabin @ Bavarian Village, it is located on indian point 1/2 mile from silver dollar city. i dont have their website, but have stayed there before, nice clean and very reasonable..

Deer Run is 80.00 a night for a kitchenette one room though. They have a two room option, but its over a hundred a night. I like Deer Run. It is nice clean and friendly. Free shuttle to SDC and an okay breakfast.

The smell of asphalt and butane says home!

I've stayed at The Tribesman before.  It's also on Indian Point Rd. right on the lake.  They have a variety of cabins spanning different prices and number of bedrooms.  It's not extremely fancy, but it was clean, and we enjoyed it very much the 4 or 5 times we stayed there.  There are a couple more nice ones on Indian Point, but I can't think of the names of them.  I'll be back!!

Ok, I'm back!  The one I was trying to think of was Stillwaters Resort.  The two-bedroom condo that I stayed at was very nice.  They are also on the water - boat dock, boat rentals, beach house, a beach, and free water toys to ride.  There are a couple of restaurants (quick food), free wi-fi, and balconies.  They have a couple of great pools and a huge rock hot tub.  The other one I was thinking of is Hunter's Friend.  It gets good reviews on other forums.  I stayed at the hotel and wasn't impressed at all.  But, I hear that the condos/cabins are nice.

Tribesman is more affordable for us than still waters but I think both are great places

My family stayed at Stillwaters Resort during Christmas season in 2011. It was great! And it was a really good price; it would definitely fit into your three-day accommodation budget, Cironnu.

I have always enjoined staying downtown. The old motels on business 65 by the bridge are still great places to stay. The Branson Motor Court is very affordable, and has been Branson owned and operated since its inception. And as for travel, you take Hwy 65 to the Highroad, and straight to SDC to avoid any traffic. You will get your 3 nights for half of your budget, and then you can enjoy breakfast at the Mill, or a new OR shirt or two without dishing out anymore cash.

well see, if were going to suggest motels, of course most of us stay at Homestay INN, "We" as a group get a disounct rate of 40.00 per nite.

They are located on the west side of town, usually 6-8 minutes from silver dollar city.

The manager "paige", is very accomadating to all of us.

Then you can eat at SDC or any of the restaurants up and down SOTH expressway.. And be will under you busget with no daily household chores..

She can also get you discounted show tickets in case you want to do a show or two while in town..

Last year "we" SDCFans stayed about 300 nites @ Homestay Inn. We all love it there..

Wow!  Thanks for the responses!  Stillwaters seems to be getting some love, and it's one I've been looking at, so it's the top contender right now.  I'm going to check out some of the other places mentioned first, though.

Seriously, thanks for the help.  Travel sites suck.  If you want the real scoop, you gotta' talk to people who know the area.

Check Stillwaters website periodically.  They have specials now and then such as "stay 3 - get one free".

Notch Estates Nightly Rentals, LLC is a mile past SDC on 76 and behind the Notch Motel. Really nice 2 bedroom condos for 125 per night. Walmart is 2 miles down the road and right on Hwy13 if you want to buy groceries.
SDC has always made a great past to remember
