OK and TERRIBLE day

Well ok here is the GOOD part of the day. A couple very dedicated christian kids from our Church got married today. This particular religion does not "approve" of dating (each other) in youth group. So they waited till they were too old for youth group before they "officially" started dating.  Now this couple will be our new youth leaders starting next Sunday. We feel you should not be involved with anyone OR you should be "married" to be youth ministers. So this couple worked their own own lives to fit with (what we believe) is Gods will.  ----  It is surely a rare thing these days to see (anyone really but especially) young kids devoting their lives to Jesus.

Now the BAD part of today. We woke up this morning to a dead pet. We had her for 18 years. She has been dying for 4 or 5 months, but today she did.  After 18 years pets become a major part of the family.  I have a definite whole in my heart right now where a little black kitty used to be.

Now the BEST part of today. Our new married couple left for their honeymoon right after punch/cake. They are going to come back by next Sunday to start their new position. They have a reception planned for later this summer when money allows.  --- So wife & I went to Red Lobster.  We can generally only spend money like that once a year, and with our trip to SDC coming in a week. It took some SDC money to eat tonite, but we both needed something GOOD to ease our burden of the kitty.

YES---we are still going to SDC next weekend!!!!!

How-doFolks

I am so sorry to hear about your cat. :'( Thoughts & Prayers are sent your way. We have 4 cats, & one is about as old as yours was.
Live life like it's the last day!

We just had my childhood cat put down, she was 22 yrs old. We knew it was coming, but as you know, that makes no difference . I have a black kitty myself that is 7, and though mischievous , she is mine, and I know your pain. It is an inherent problem that we outlive our pets, but my love for my pets and the enjoyment from them over the years, has always greatly outweighed the pain, i would not trade those years to be without the pain of losing them. I pray for your comfort, and for the newly weds at your church as they undertake this huge step both with their lives, as well as their vocations.

Thank you all.  Yes we have known for months that the day would come.  That doesnt make it any easier though.

Our Son adopted a cat for us this past Christmas.  This new cat has become my little buddy for sure. He has made the loss of the old cat easier. I still would prefer to have both of them.

The newlyweds are honeymooning in Gatlinburg right now. I heard they are fine and happy.  I am so proud of them having such a Love for Christ at 20 years old.
