A Great Razorback.

Don't you know he and Paul Eells are swapping some tales?

Junior

Got to meet Paul a few years back at a radio broadcasters gathering, Associated Press, it was. Paul was there to collect an award for his lifetime as a sports reporter and "voice" of the Razorbacks. He was a class act, humble, and grateful for the award. Nice guy, glad I had a chance to meet him. Some great story swappin' indeed!

My 36 y/o sister-in-law, Harmony Foster, passed away on the same day as Thatcher and Funicello.  She was another strong woman, having beaten back cancer for ten years before finally losing the battle.  She left behind a husband and five kids.  She'll be missed.
"Why do they call them Wild Women?"

Zephon, sorry about your loss...  So young!!!!!

Alan Arbus, AKA  dr. Sydney Freedman from MASH!!!  Loved that show, still laugh @ the reruns.

Junior

Arbus, such a talent. Ever see the good job he did in some of those Law and Order shows?

WOW!!  lost another icon...   George Jones.....??

Yes George Jones. And what is sad is----Wife had the (local) news on TV (I understand local). And nary a word was uttered. (Now remind you when Jackson or Houston died, even Andy Griffith died, thats all they could talk about. Even when Andy Williams died they made a huge report of it). Now with Jones---NOTHING. I happened to be online and read it deep in my homepages (like 2 or 3 pages in to the news).  Now when the World News came on, they gave him about 3 minutes.    Please forgive me for venting here. I understand we all are entitled to our own opinion, and if yours differs from mine. Thats OK!!

I think it is a criminal shame when a LEGEND and ICON passes on and media just lets it slide with a mere mention between basic knowledge stuff.  ---  Yet a wild, child, whacked out, used to be.!! AND a one hit wonder that wasnt even her song from the beginning - DIES, the media just eats it up. They talk for months about both of them.

What is going on in this World today?

OK I APOLIGIZE FOR HAVING EMOTION. IM SORRY TO THOSE I HAVE JUST OFFENDED.

Just read, Jean Stapleton passed away.. :(

ARCHIEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o

Junior

Jean Stapleton, a very talented lady. Ever see her in "You've got Mail?" I saw an interview with Rob Reiner and Sally Struthers talking about the All in the Family days. They said they all blew their lines from time to time, but don't ever recall Jean doing so. She came in prepared, and played the dumb wife of Archie well. STIFLE, Edith!
