If your looking for a "kids" show, you might check out Amazing Pets @ Grand country... kids seem to enjoy that show...

Also new to the area this year, A petting zoo on Shepherd of the hills expressway,,  just up the hill from the stop light on Roark Valley road, on the west side... IT is ALL new Faciity and may not be open yet..

Anyone know if the AQUARIUM is still open? (Next to Walmart on the strip).
I second "Ride-The-Ducks" Once in the water, kids get to drive them. They will stay in the water until "everyone that wants to drive" gets to drive.
--Also--go to the Landing and hit "RIDEMAKERZ" let him build a car/truck. You pick out the body and chassis, wheels, tires, (and) accesories as far as the eye can see. Then you assemble the vehicle in store. (Yes it is simple enough that a 5 year old CAN assemble).
-I also agree on the pet show at Grand Country (as mentioned above).

That is at least 1/2 a days worth of fun right there.  Want to stay longer or even all night? Grand Country has an indoor/outdoor water park and a game room designed for kids young and old.  Or there is White Water water park.

How about the Butterfly Palace? I haven't been there, but I know several kids that liked it.

While I like the Tracks Fun Park, it is EXPENSIVE!! Unless I have stumbled across a free coupon I stay away.

Grand Country Waterpark is fun. And if you find a Branson Best Booklet, there are coupons in there that make it around 10.00 a person for a full day of fun.

I have also heard the Butterfly Palace is fun fun fun. But again you will be running into 18.00 ish a person and its a fun and done deal.

There is a magic show. Its in Kirby VanBurch's old building. The child gets a free magic kit with paid admission.

I dont know your budget or how far you have to travel. If its like mine it is thin and I have to save to do a trip. The Fish Hatchery is free. There are great walking trails and pretty parks. Always check the Branson Best Book and the counter maps. Stop at the visitors center off the 65 and ask for the Milton Crabapple CD. They give you really really good coupons for Fall Creek Catfish and one other place that escapes me.
The smell of asphalt and butane says home!

Lets not forget that you recieve a SDC pass discount at the Butterfly Palace... after all, itis HFE owned!

Ride the ducks was awesome. You get $5 off with SDC season pass on up to 6 tickets. I recommend swimming down on Indian Point. there is an awesome swimming area down there at the corps of engineer area. I think it is 6 or 7 dollars for a car full. Bass pro is cool, The Shepherd of the Hills hatchery was impressive. There is a mueseum about the dam that has been put in recently.

Gilligan

The Table Rock Dam Visitor Center has some interactive exhibits and a few things for kids to do.

The museum is still under renovations, a long slow one, Think I may not see it in my lifetime but they update the progress page regularly.

the museum is quite a project.. initially started 3 years ago as a rebuild, would last 2 years.. Here it is 3 years later and still not finished. I was there Friday and the new building is MASSIVE, and now word on opening yet. I checked out bass pro and although they have added several new/different displays (animals, fish, Alligators and so on).

I was a little disappointed that the new gun museum there will not be open unitl 8-2, but it looked very nice form what I can see.. (no surprise)..

They have been working in the museum in basspro for a couple of years also, and is still not open.  I did notice some massive exterior work goin on the main building on the west side. Look to be a complete new roof system..

If you have not been to Bass pro in the last 3 years or so.. check them out! All no charge to see and if you are interested in this kind of stuff, you can easlily kill 3 hours or so looking at everything
