Grndghtr 2 Past SDC Baker

HELLO ALL ON THIS FORUM!  I NEED HELP, ADVICE, DIRECTION!  My name is Laura Moore.  I am also a former SDC employee.  I worked in the River Side Rib House the summer of 1992 before my Senior year of High School.  Also, I am the 1st granddaughter of Roscoe Moore, also known as Rusty.  My grandpa was also an SDC employee.  He was the main baker in the mill for many years, 1992 & earlier.  My grandpa loved working there.  He was quite the talker & loved to talk with the park guests & to tell stories.  He also loved to bring the kids around to help them make bread too, I think he called it Indian Bread.  Well, my grandpa died in 2005.  One of my most precious items then from SDC was a VHS video tape I had.  The tape would have been bought at the park.  It was basically a tour of the park on tape.  It showed many of the performers, shows & craftsmen including a scene with my grandpa making bread & talking to the people.  Well, tonight I tore up my house looking for the tape.  It is GONE.  I believe I loaned it to someone that was planning a trip to Branson 2 yrs ago....obviously they didn't give it back to me & they just moved May 1st & I specifically remember them tossing out a BIG BOX of VHS tapes.  SOOOOO, I am desperately trying to find someone that has a copy.  I really can't be sure when the tape was made.  I just know that I would have bought it the summer of 92 or earlier.  The video starts out with old pictures & a narrator telling the story of Marvel Cave.  Please can anyone help me!  If you can, I am also on FB under Laura Moore n Markayla.  I am just trying to either get another vhs tape or find someone that can help me get a DVD copy or something like that.  Please Help!!!!!

Try ebay or Amazon. Old SDC stuff pops up at these sites from time to time. Some of it quite rare. I used to have a copy of that tape, but also fear I have lost it as my family switched to DVD.

I burned them to DVD before my little one came along (when I had an AV editing station set up) I will hopefully put it back together and upload a few this summer.

When I was a child in the 1970s, there was a 30 minute SDC promo tape that played on one or more TV stations in Springfield, Missouri on an irregular basis.  I would occasionally catch it on Saturday mornings or afternoons.  It was a guided, narrarated tour of the city.  I remember in particular there being dialogue and scenes of Fire in the Hole, The Flooded Mine, and the train.

I've searched everywhere online trying to find this, and I've also asked the admin people at SDC.  Nobody knew what I was talking about.

Does anybody other than me remember this at all???

I have a reel from around that time...haven't fixed my projector to watch it...maybe this summer!

Don't remember the video you are talking about. However, when cable came to Branson in the late, late 70's, early 80's, there was an early version of the Vacation Channel that played regularly a short video about the history of Branson, which of course included a bit on SDC. It was well done for its time.
