Duelist

So far this year no one has tried to charge us more than the $1 refill on our old mugs as far as soft drink or frozen drink is concerned.  Since SDC sold us those mugs with that stipulation they are keeping their word.  One of the many reasons it is our favorite place to visit!  ;D

Some older mugs before 2012 say "refill offer subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice".  That is pretty self explanatory.  Will they honor them?  Most will and some don't.  I was in line at Crossroads Pizza a couple of weeks ago and a lady had a cup for a refill for $1.50.  There were two cashiers taking orders when the lady questioned the charge of $1.75 for her refill.  The cashiers would not honor it.  The lady was a little irritated but just finally told them whatever.

Yup!  This has happened to me many times over the last couple of years, and my mugs only state the refill price - not the disclaimer about "subject to change".

All the mugs I have pretty much say price subject to change and get the 1.75 charge, which I think pricey for what fountain soar costs but still better then if you did not have the mug. I also know that the reason they did the mugs that only last a year was because they did not realize the amount of people that have kept their mugs over the years and apparently they were actually seeing a drop in their soda revenue. As for as older mugs then have no plans any time soon to stop honoring the refill prices.
