With our recent talks about pizza at WW and the recent addition of Outlaw Run Pizza...
Where is the BEST Pizza You have eaten?
Chains, mom and pop, wherever...where is it?

Is it the thin and foldable like New York's Lombardi's or Ray's etc?
Is it the thin and crunchy and covered in provel in St. Louis' Imos or Stefanina's etc?
Is it the deep dish eaten with a knife and fork like Chicago's Malnati's or Giordano's etc?
Is it the thick and chewy like at Pizza Hut, Dewey's etc?

Let the debate begin!!!
I want places people!

Here in KC there used to place called Straw Hat Pizza back in the 70s. They had the best Canadian Bacon Pizza. Of course, they have been closed for a long time now.

Have never had Pizza when in Branson..  ( OOPS ), we did eat @ SDC, But nowhere near the best,,

My favorite is a local joint up here. named GAPS. medium thick crust, and lots of toppings.. Their Italian sausage is GREAT!!

Gilligan

Breckinridge, Colorado. Wood fired chicken basil pesto and marinated tomatoes pizza. Makes me drool just thinking about it.

Eric's downstairs in Breckenridge is he only pizza I have had on CO, they are known for a garlicy thick crust that the locals eat with honey once the pizza portion is consumed ( they call them bones) not the best I've had... Just different do you remember the restaurant Gilligan? I am there almost every other year and would love to try that one.

You can get Ken's pizza at the Mazzio's in Oklahoma, I was going to mention that even before someone mentioned that there was a Ken's in Branson

I am going for PI in St. Louis area. I have some great pizza, but this is my tops anywhere. We are going to Rome Italy next month, so maybe I will have a new favorite by then.

Yes, Mazzio's now has a Ken's Pizza. It's OK, not the same.

It's been a few years, Rube, but I'll ask the fam if they remember.  My son was on travel restriction of no more than two hrs. from base as he was due to be deployed any day, so we went to Breckenridge for a ski vacation.  It wasn't so much a pizza place as it was an Italian restaurant.  I remember it being in a cedar building with large windows.  It started snowing while we were there!  OMGosh, the best pizza I ever ate in my life!!  And, son was able to stay with us the entire trip.  He got the call to deploy 3 days after we left, so hubs bought a ticket and headed back to Colorado.  I did not want him leaving without family there. Hubs and son decided that since the "mom" - me had already said good-bye, it was best that I wasn't there to go through it again.  Difficult times!

The best Pizza I ever had was in New Jersey at a pizza place right beside Ft Monmouth. Very very yummy

Wife likes Pi, but Reed Springs is better in her opinion, we had Godfathers in Nebraska, it was okay, a lunch buffet, so not quite up to par for me.

Here locally there is a transplant from Chicago- a cook from Giordano's who uses the same recipe, and even brings his sauce in from Chi town , and oh- my gosh it is amazing deep dish. I have never had the other Chicago pizzas, but this Issa good I cannot see others being much better. We actually had this tonight!!!

So topfor me...
Mellow mushroom, then
A Better Pizza ( in OFallon MO) the deep dish
Reed Springs Pizza
Dewey's

I'm a st louis native so I usually go for anything st louis style, in Springfield I usually go to the Imo's on Republic Rd just west of Campbell.  I didn't like Chicago style until I tried actual Chicago style, changed my mind pretty quickly.  I worked at a restaurant in a small town in Iowa while in college and it had a pretty awesome Chicago deep dish, unfortunately people thought $20 for a 5 lb pizza was too much so they stopped offering it.
