BetaMike, Do you have any video of you up there at the candy shop?

Yikes!  I've been away a while.  Sorry for the delay.   Yep!  My mom is a proud woman and taped me making both fudge and brittle one summer.   I'm going to state right now that I'll be keeping my dignity and that tape put away for a while  ;)

She does.  Although, she's actually quite proud of it, NO ONE wants to have a video tape of them singing the "fudge song" off key for posterity.

That's me in that video.  Before marriage, 4 kids, 2 grandkids(so far) and a 28 year career at Kraftheinz.  No one did a candy demonstration better than June but I did my best to replicate.  That was back in the day when that brittle kettle was never off.  A batch every 20 minutes all day long and the double doors were swung wide open in the heat of summer.  I wouldn't have traded that experience for anything.  It taught me how to work hard and June taught me how to have a lot of fun while doing the hard work.
