We'll be visiting in December and I'm kinda interested in buying some presents then. I obviously can't afford to buy all my presents there. But some would be cool.

So what are some good present ideas from the city that aren't ridiculously priced. My dad really likes the Chow Chow and peanut brittle. I've already gotten him those for Father's Day, but I might repeat it because he loves them!

I just like going ahead and planning this stuff. I would be stalking the SDC website for ideas, but they don't have a lot of specific things on there.

Thanks!

Look in the pottery shop.  Some things might be pricey, but there are usually a few inexpensive things. A bag of taffy would suit me just fine!!

You can get beautiful, hand-blown ornaments in the glass shop for $20. They also have hand-made glass candy canes there as well.

Those are wonderful ideas!

I guess I could word my question a little better to get some more answers. It'll be a little more personal, but will help with ideas and stuff.
If a family member or friend was going to SDC without you, what are some things that you would just be elated to receive as a present from them from the city afterward?

Ozark Outlaw

2014 Season Pass tickets are the best present you can get from Silver Dollar City! ;)

Ozark nailed it!!!

season pass is a perfect gift, something the buyer know you will use!

Well I would seriously be overwhelmed if someone bought me a pass. Especially since I am generally the one buying the passes.

On a bit cheaper note. If my Son was going to the City and brought me back something for a Christmas gift. Id like an SDC hoodie (many colors & styles to choose from).  Im a crazy flashlight freak. Dont know why, but I just love getting all kinds of different flaslights. An SDC flashlight would be good (If they even have any-I bet they do). Maybe a "small" OR keychain.  ---- My wife would like a "purple" garter. She hangs them on her rearview mirror. We would both like a bag of pork rinds.

A refillable mug if they visit often, a bag of taffy, or Joel Manby's book.   Maybe a pin if they are pin collectors or a cd by the Homestead Pickers.

My personal wish would be the taffy.

Ozarks Gal

They sell coasters made from cedar and stamped/branded with the SDC logo.  They're something that will be used, and the smell of cedar reminds me of SDC! I'm a baker and would love a bag of mix from the Mill.  Or a jar of apple butter.
"Red Flanders, you come back in here and put on your pants!" "Well Sadie, I ain't got no pants no more. The dang Baldknobbers stole 'em!"

How-doFolks

Does SDC have calenders you can hang on your wall? I'd love to have one. I still order my Hillbilly Calenders every year.
