I think the Baldknobbers have the right idea.

Was posted on the 1branson board today that comedian Jarret Dougherty has left Pierce Arrow.

sanddunerider

yes that is correct.... he has left Pierc Arrow after many years there....  he is a funny funny man...  This will put a kink in their show!!

I was told where he was moving to, and I forgot.!! ::)...  will try to find out and post accordingly

"The Price is Right Live" will depart the Welk theater and call the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre home for a limited run this season.  I guess that leaves the welk with no show this season?

Okla, I think your right about that....Unless they have some "special" events, it will be dark this year also...!!..

I know that is 3 new theatres this yyear that will sit empty.... Welk, RFD, Americana.....  Not counting the ones still empty from previous years..

Wynonna Judd is set to perform Oct. 18 and Nov. 8 at the Oak Ridge Boys Theatre.

I was in Branson last Monday night and the Mansion theater was stripped of all advertisements for shows.  Apparently that will be closed as well.

I sure hope SDC does well in 14. It seems the "Theatres on the strip" just may not fare as well. Of course we have been losing talent over the years.
Charley Pride
Mel Tillis
Ray Stevens
Roy Clark
Oak Ridge Boys (were they permanent back then or not? I dont know)
Bobby Vinton
Tony Orlando
Andy Williams (obviously for a different reason, but still lost talent)
Jim Stafford (does anyone know positively yet if he is leaving, or just moving theatres?)

Im sure there are others as well as local talent that I cant think of right now.

I was told Jim was gone!, I think I heard he went to florida...  I didn't care for his show anyway, I am sure it was a quality show 10 - 15 years ago, but somethings needed updated, IMHO..

I sm pretty sure all the show that used to be there have moved to different venues., his website is still online, but not updated..

I think there is still plenty of talent left in town. with an increase in tourism last year, I expect another good year for the branson this year...

If the weather breaks early this year I expect the City to take off on a dead run this year.

I was on facebook the other day and it looks like Chisai Childs has some kind of office job with the Baldknobbers. Anyone know anything about this?

The show that was planned for the Stafford Theater is not going to happen so that theater may also be dark this year. I think the Mansion was dark for most of 2013.  And looking ahead Daniel O'Donnell will not be in Branson in 2015; he will be taking a sabbatical as he puts it.

sanddunerider

yep, very well could be dark. the website shows nothing for 14,.

I know the neil diamond artist relocated to theatre in old branson,

don't know where tony roi is going to show up, nothing on his website.

Tony Roi is set to be at legends
