I noticed the 2015 Operating Calendar is out (here at this link)

Some things I noticed:
In May they're closing on Mondays instead of Tuesdays.
Bluegrass & BBQ is weeks shorter this season, only 3 weeks,
to make room for Season Pass Appreciation being 2 weeks again.
There are 3 nights they'll be open until Midnight: June 6, July 25, and August 1.
Southern Gospel picnic looks to be a few days longer this year, and Country Music Weekend is now 3 days instead of 2.
Harvest & Cowboy fest runs all the way through October, with the park being closed the first week of November to prep for OTC.
"Red Flanders, you come back in here and put on your pants!" "Well Sadie, I ain't got no pants no more. The dang Baldknobbers stole 'em!"

yep! I noticed it up 2 or 3 weeks ago..  already playing with different dates for next year...... ;D

Closing on Monday doesn't sound like a good plan to me.  So many families take 3 day weekends, or plan trips Fri - Mon. to make efficient use of time off.  Hubs and I often leave on Mondays to avoid the weekend traffic and take advantage of Monday morning for a short trip to the City.

Ah, I had completely forgotten about this. Thanks for posting it.

Pushing Christmas back and keeping the Harvest festival longer is an obvious improvement that I was thinking they'd go for. Harvest Fest is actually pretty popular, in part due to the good weather and older folks finally being able to take vacations without wilting. The first couple weeks of Nov. aren't always popular though. Even if the weather is OK, people just aren't ready for Christmas that early and they're getting more vocal about it lately.

I went up on the 7th and it was early for Christmas but great weather to look at the lights in.  It would seem they would complain louder if they were closed at this time.

I think it is pretty safe to say,

That SDC's OTC will start whenever the "Ozark Christmas" in branson and the surrounding area starts.  whether it is the 1st or 2nd weekend in November...

OTC starts the first weekend of November in 2015

Yep! that's right the 1st "full" November weekend...

since the 1st of November falls on a sunday this year,  The "first" weekend is actually the 7th and 8th...
