If Branson were to get one, i had hoped it be like The Island development in Pigeon Forge. For some reason the Grand Palace spot seems to fit the bill for something like that.

I'm stuck on the claim that the press release says, "first-of-its-kind," though.

Anymore they can change a type of bearing on something and its a first of its kind. Marketing is nuts these days.

I had overlooked that aspect as well, but really the whole "first of it's kind" thing is often overblown so I tend to ignore those kinds of declarations these days. It could be a ferris wheel with some sort of minor gimmick and it'd still be "first of it's kind".

How about a Skyplex stand alone coaster like Orlando is getting? Probably looking for a lot more than 10 million on something like that.

I have actually always wondered why Branson does not have a Alpine coaster. Maybe the hills are just not big enough. But that is something that would be new for the area. I looked at the property with Google maps and it would not support something like that if it were built on the ground. But if it were built up it would.

I really don't think it will be a observation wheel. 10 million would not touch it. Orlando's came it at 90 million while Las Vegas was in the 183 million dollar range. I might be wrong though.

I wondered how much of a "wheel" 10 million would buy, but didn't know what to compare it to.
