This has got to be one of the coolest yet poorest titled SDC videos on YouTube.  :)  It is titled "Silverdollar city Branson Missouri".  It is a four minute aerial view of SDC recorded using a Phantom 3 drone.  The views of the park are excellent!

Watch it in full screen mode and enjoy!

Nice. I see he published it quickly after he was escorted off the property. To my knowledge, he violated air space, and, " All coasters and the Giant Swing were on lock down during their morning testing, until the owner was found"

Sure hope the idiots 4 minutes of fame did not hamper the fun of everyone if they could not have things going by opening time. I know what will happen if one of these things hover over my house. # 6 shot

I couldn't help but wonder about the legalities of flying a drone over an area such as SDC.

The law is slow to catch up with new tech as always, but I would think it's already against the law by now to fly a drone over private property. I'm sure it will soon be a felony to fly one near a roller coaster as well, for obvious reasons. I think Florida is currently working on that.

This guy probably thought he could get away with it since the park wasn't open yet. Obviously even then there are still a lot of concerns over what would have happened if he had lost control of it and it hit someone or flew into a coaster's tracks. The problem is only going to get worse after Christmas... I'll be some kid ends up shutting down all the rides next year with one of the new pocket drones.

How do you know the rides were on "lock down" during this?  It appears the park was closed that day.

I thought so as well.  At the end of the video, you can see a van parked behind the Gazebo Stage on Main Street.  Plus the parking lot was empty.

This was early and we were open that day. It wasn't until after the park was open and it was spotted that he was escorted. This is only part of the footage.

I highly doubt it.  The main lots are empty.  The handicapped lot is mostly full.  This is the way office employees park on days the park is closed.  If the park were open that day, the handicapped lot would be empty.

Where can the rest of the footage from the video be viewed?

Tinman works at the park.  Considering he was in the middle of his shift when the guy was apprehended, pretty sure he knows what he's talking about.  And no, he's not just some fry cook who wouldn't have a clue about the ordeal.

I'm not saying there wasn't a drone when tinman was working, but this definitely looks like it was filmed when the park was closed for a few reasons:

1. The parking lot is empty.

2. The Barn Swing is covered. (Maybe they do that every night, I don't know)

3. Tom and Huck's Riverblast is drained and covered, which I know is normal if this was filmed during Christmas, but I didn't see the tree on the square.

4. Something looks different about the Lost Rivers queue bridge. It looks like it is missing a cover or something.

Again, I believe what Tinman said, but I'm wondering if this was a different drone that might have gone unnoticed by park staff at some point when the park wasn't open.

1. Park opens later in the morning.  Time change hadn't gone into effect yet.
2. They cover it every night
3. This was towards the end of Harvest, RB was already drained
4. LR was in winter mode

You can see the fall vendor booths on the square.

But Lost River doesn't close until Harvest Festival is over. I understand Riverblast being drained because that ride closed mid-October.

Also, if this was taken toward the end of Harvest Festival, the park wouldn't be opening later yet.

Lost River is drained EVERY day, and filled up an hour or two each morning. River Blast closed 2 weeks early this year to build the new que line for Santa Lane.
