I am curious about the phrase Gravity "redefined". Instead of it shooting out of the station and plummeting downward, could it go in reverse up that giant hill?? That would be a 1st of its kind (i think).

Don't overthink it.

You have a great past just ahead of you.

Looking at that extended platform, does anyone else think that riders would exit the vehicles before the train enters the station? The platform looks as if it would go right up to the track.

I'll be able to tell you in 15 days.  We are getting a tour of the facility and I plan on asking lots of questions

In case you missed it - 808 Coaster Ridah provided some new photos from this weekend.  Shave has a link on the sdcfans Facebook page and I have the photos with comments here on MiG: http://www.midwestinfoguide.com/2017/07/time-traveler-construction-sdc_31.html

Thats really crazy how they are doing that walkway!

Swoosh

Yeah I don't get it either.  It's really strange looking

I don't know that these show anything different from those.  I tried to catch what I could today.

I kind of thought the poles might be for lighting:

The steps go straight up from the bridge, and the ramp takes a right turn off the bridge:

nice pics.   But what does the lower level of steel look like it is connecting to the opening in the building?  ???
There are no studs in the wall there.. Hmm?

Also taller wood poles outside on the walkway will probably be for a roof/lighting of some kind.. I dont see the walkway being exposed..

Are they not attached the vertical metal supports of the building?  I thought they were. ???

I would agree with you, yes they appear to be attached to metal framework... BUT why the opening there? and why no studs? to attach exterior wall, you would need studs..  normally you would not add them later?

They just haven't added the siding in where the truss connects yet. At this point we can tell that there's nothing under the truss, it's simply a big truss designed for a lot of big people on top.

I just can't believe we've made it this long without hardly any indication of how the track will be laid out other than the speculation on the beginning. The tiny bit of track that they have put up is such a tease. Usually you can try to make guesses by connecting the footers, but I haven't even tried with this thing.

That's what makes this announcement so sweet - we know so much and yet so little. It might be one of the last times that we see a ride come this far along in construction and still don't know quite what it will be.

2 weeks!
