The park sent some photos of the new truss for the exit bridge as seen from the Echo Hollow pathway.

Thats some massive steel for being a walkway..

History Buff

How about faking us all out and making this our long-awaited ice house?

Thanks for sharing the pics, Swoosh.

Do we honestly believe they went through the trouble and expense of hanging all that iron for a mere foot bridge? I'm not buying it, but what do I know. That just doesn't seem plausible, or financially prudent to me.

The multiple openings on the station continue to make me wonder as well. I think there's more to the story here than simply queue, coaster entrance/exits and maintenance openings.

Betting that's a walkway in and a walkway out stacked.  They would probably not want to run the ride over a walkway intentionally, the netting and what not gets ugly.  Thinking this is to avoid the cost of an elevator and to keep the ADA happy.

Also looking at the picture the fire escape they built on the side of the building is not sufficient for the evacuation of people from that tower.  I would think they would want more people out at once to satisfy fire codes.  That building would be hard to evacuate with 900 people in the Q inside that building.  Any of the other rides you can jump the railing to the ground or escape through non-path escapes but not when you are 3-5 stories up.  This might be overkill because of the fire code.  Maybe the bottom or top is a supplemental fire escape route.

I don't think that fire escape is for guests hence why it's not very big.  Besides if it is for getting riders off a train it would 16 at most at a time.

Thats why I think this could be a double pathway out/in.  Fun to speculate.

Except the "lower level" of the truss comes to a solid wall so that won't work.

Could it be possible that heavy steel would be for some sort of launch?  like riders would enter the cars in that middle bay & the track would move left to the next bay & back up for a launch situation. Then be shot through the station into a dive out of the station.
I ain't got no pants no more! The Dang Baldknobbers stole'em!

nah never mind, after reviewing old pics I think the other side is closed up. the speculation is so fun though. i just cant imagine that heavy of steel being used for a walkway.

Much more informed.  Now I wonder what hole will be the entrance exit and how will they work it all it.
Total revamp of that area.  I hope they keep it quaint.

The hole at the center of the building at the lowest level that looks like it has a cover protruding from the building over it.

The exit from the unload side of the station and the ADA entrance to the ride

That or the main queue itself... hard to tell where the queue is going to go when its on footers. Im assuming you'll exit through a gift shop somewhere, could that be on the lower level?
