How tall is that tower, Sand? I guess I guess I'll have to drive down the strip to see it.

Bigfoot tower?  200 feet.  I believe they are saying it is the highest elevation attraction in town now, surpassed the ferris wheel a long ways.!  LOL..  higher elevation and taller structure.

So is this next to where that dome building used to be?  I noticed a while back it was torn down and was thinking it was next to the water slide.  I believe they had an old time photo place in there last.  I remember in the 80's it was some sort of deal where you go in and watch a movie projected on the inside of the dome that was of different scenes such as flying, motorcycle, etc and it made you feel like you were moving with the motion of the movie.

Nope, Bigfoot is farther west on the strip. The new mountain coaster is going in where you described.

Yes, the new alpine coaster takes up the whole plot of land where the water chute and the domed building used to be.  They tore down the domed building you remember a couple of months back in preparing the land for the coaster.
This is a stick up!  Get it? Stick.... Nevermind, it's a train robbery.  I want everyone to get your hands up and act scared.

Clay Cooper's first theater was in another nearby building, the Thunderbird Theater, which has been torn down.

No, the dome building wasn't anywhere near that size.  It was a small building that in recent years housed an old time, dress up photo.  It was about 200- 250 feet from the chute and sat pretty close to the road.

Edit- look at the last photo on this page- it shows it: http://www.tntoldtimephoto.com/pictures.html

Swoosh,   for perspective, when I take the views of the west side.. I am sitting in the old cooper parking lot, and the building would have sit behind me.

thats great, will check it out this weekend,

I would still be interetsted in stats..  how "long" is it ie, how many feet of track?..

They did a great job using the terrain and the track goes in and out, around and around and up and down....  LOL

So we finally got to ride this thing this past Friday.  It is possibly one of the best mountain coasters I've ridden.
