It's the weekend for "guilt trips" - I avoid the first weekends of August like the plague at any park due to the "guilt trippers"

For those not in the education world, a "guilt trip" is when the parents realize that school starts in a week or so and then they (the parents) feel guilty for doing less than jack squat with their kids all summer. So they take a last minute trip to the local amusement park to try to make up for it. You might notice how the town is packed right now and hotel rooms are scarce, that's why. It happens every year. It's also not just something that happens here. Parks across the country were slammed yesterday.

In other news, today will be the last regular attendance report from me. I'm heading back to school next week and my posting will be quite limited through marching season as usual. If Sand wants to take up the slack that's fine but Swoosh is done for now.
