I am thinking I will be going next weekend.  Possibly Friday night, then Saturday.  Or perhaps Saturday/night, then sunday.

We were there Saturday morning & evening. Of course morning wasn't bad & we left around 11 or 12. Went back around 6 & Preferred Parking still had places to park. The park itself didnt seem too bad for 19,000+ people.
Live life like it's the last day!

Well keep in mind, all 19,000 were not there at one time..
When I checked in at 6, 7,000 people had already left the park, so actually there were about at 8,000 on park at 6...
that being said,
with the reported last number, approx. 4,000 entered after 6..
so>
in theory about 12,000 people on park from 6- close.
Thats not allowing for anyone else leaving, and you know they did.

Sounds like a perfect day, with extended hours..

Hope you had a good visit,  sure sounds ideal.

How would they know how many people left the park and when?  The tickets are not scanned out when leaving so curious how they come up with an exit figure.

I am sure it is "quesstimate,
But going out, you do go through the turnstiles....
so that would give them an estimate...

Okiebenz

I did not realize those turnstiles were tracking anything.  Makes sense.

pintrader

Yes the estimate is probably pretty close, but a lot of people sidestep the turnstiles and go around them.  That might make up for the kids and some adults spinning them for the desired effect  ;)

With 3 more hours to go,  the count is at a little over 7,000 people,   they were expecting 11,000.   Dont think they will get close to that today,

^well it stormed most of the day...

I was up in Springfield overnight last night and had the evening free. I Though about running down to the city by myself last night for a couple of hours but ended up just going Lamberts for dinner instead.

I am wanting to go up this week but Ozark Valley is booked Friday/Saturday and it looks like everything else in Branson is just about booked or more than I want to pay.  Thought about staying in Springfield and just driving back and forth, or going on Sunday.  Do you think Friday night will be swamped?  What about Saturday night?  Sunday?

Everything is booked due to the cal Ripken series. I'm not sure how that will affect attendance though.
