I tried out the Outback Roadhouse on my last trip in October... I won't recommend it...

What about Honeysuckle?

The Dutton Inn has good reviews.

I really liked Lodge of the Ozarks, but I know they run a bit higher.

Dutton Inn does have good reviews, havent read anything bad about them..

Depending on the price, we often stay at Honeysuckle.  I think we have only been to branson 2-3 times this year where as we used to go once a month.  The last time we stayed at some place back off the road that goes down toward Flat Creek area, off to the left a little ways.  I think it  might have been called the Americaninn, but not sure.  It was OK.  We used to like the Pink Angel Inn, but the last couple of times since it appears to have been run by foreign folks, it has gone WAY WAY down hill.  It is to the point I will probably just pony up and stay at either one of the Hiltons or Hampton Inns.

Don't know who owns it but we have been staying at the Barrington Hotel near the Mansion Theater for the past 2 years. Has a hot breakfast buffet and most nights has dessert offered.

Has always been very clean and is quiet. Rooms have darkening shades and a mini fridge. There is a microwave on each floor by the ice machine. Hotel is in process of being renovated. Some rooms have both cable and streaming TV. There is also an indoor pool and spa.

We usually pay 69 - 89 -- rates go up on weekends plus will also go up some more on nights there is a big concert at the Mansion since it is within walking distance. You can see the room rate for the night when you make reservations on the website.

Nearby is Big D's BBQ, Culver's, Panda House, McDonald's, Pizza Ranch, Noodle 21, and other restaurants and shopping.
