Much like the previous editions of this thread, this will be the place to let everyone know where you are going / have gone during the 2022 calendar year.  To help others find information, we will make these threads last only one calendar year and then we will create another.

Let's get started on 2022 (now that we're almost halfway through the year).  Disney selected me as one of 50 teachers in the nation for their 50 Teachers Celebration.  The first link below is a list of all the things I encountered on my four-day journey, complete with walking down Main Street USA with no tourists, grand marshalling the fantasy parade in Magic Kingdom, riding Guardians of the Galaxy:  Cosmic Rewind on opening day after hours with the Imagineer who designed the attraction, and more.

Other links will be activated when I post them.  Another destination in on deck for this summer, so I should have plenty to share at that time, too.

If you're inclined to care about any of this, enjoy...

Riding with an imagineer sounds like an awesome experience. Really it all does. I'm looking forward to reading more about your experience.

Yes, we had met with him (Zach Riddley) and another earlier in the day (had to put phones in sealed bags due to proprietary information).  Zach designed the Guardians ride (reportedly costing $500 million) for EPCOT, and the other designed Pirates of the Caribbean for Shanghai Disneyland.  I was lucky enough to be in the right place - after park hours on the ride's opening day - to sit in the same car with Zach.  The ride is unlike anything I've ever ridden - like snowboarding through space.  The track is virtually invisible, and the ride is as smooth as anything I've ever experienced.

The first half of the trip report is posted, but most of this is pretty standard Disney stuff.  The next three posts will outline the special programming Disney arranged for us.  Stay tuned.

Snowed on the way up, snowed 4inches while there and snowed on the way down.  I'm watching all the sea planes come back from their 5 glacier and taku glacier tours

All right.  I know I'm a little late with these, but if you're interested in my Jamestown//Williamsburg/Yorktown reports you can find them at the link below (I'm not going to spend a whole day individually linking them.).  These heavy-on-the-photos reports are located at the bottom of the page under the heading 2022 TEACHERS INSTITUTE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM where, if interested, you may read about this amazing week.
