^Not unless something really, really drastic happens.  We've got the division wrapped up though, technically, the magic number is now 17. :)

Hopefully they don't become complacent in this last month of ball.

I think TLR will keep them focused.  Along with giving certain regulars lots of rest.  Tonight for instance... AP, Yadi, DeRoe, Holliday, B. Ryan are all sitting out.

Nice to see Albert not only get a rest, but come in as pinch hitter in the 10th to hit a game-winning solo homer!

Another day, another Cardinal win  ;D

Carpy pitched a wonderful 1-hitter today with 10 K's.  Magic number = 14!

It's so nice not to feel like we're out of it even if we've looked inept at the plate for 2/3 of the game! :)  Cards win it 4-3 thanks mostly to Pujols' 45th homer of the season and Holliday's two run shot in the ninth.

Magic Number is...

Another day, another Cardinal win! :)  Wainwright pitches a wonderful 7 innings, and the bullpen does the rest for a 5-1 win thanks mostly to Albert's 2 home run game.

Another notch taken off the magic number, which now stands at...

Off day tomorrow, then we host the Braves.

I think Pujols' smile directed at the Cardinals' dugout after his second home run today reflects the sentiments of all of Cardinals Nation right now. ;D

I'm having entirely too much fun with this! :D

That's good, had to send a copy of it to my wife.

Congrats to the cards as they continue to wrap up the division. Long live the central division teams.

Thanks, themeparkguy!  I take your point of view (and some Cards fans may not like this).  Want to let you know that in 2007 and 2008 I was pulling for the Cubs in the postseason.  Once the regular season is over and if the Cards aren't in it, I pull for the NL Central team(s) in the postseason, no matter who it is.  And if the NL Central teams are eliminated I pull for the NL team.  Besides being a Cards fan, I like to see NL Central teams do well, and once they're out, the NL do well.  The more NL Central teams that do well, the more credibility our division has. :)
