My favorite part of the show was watching Joel eat the El Charrito Mexican tv dinner in his hotel room. I wonder if he likes the rice because I hate it.

Makes me wonder, did he REALLY eat it, or was it just for show?

In the followup story, mentioned somewhere here, it said Albert would be moving to Georgia to go to school while he works at Wild Adventures.

Albert was at the gate on SDC 50th anniversary weekend.  Also, last week I saw a sign posted on the Homestead Motel on the strip that said this is where Undercover Boss for SDC stayed.

I saw him this past weekend at the stand where you get strollers and wheelchairs. College of the Ozarks is right there, I bet he's doing his classes there still. I don't know the guy, but I was sure rooting for him. He's a true example of a fine Ozarks boy.

I didn't go on the Anniversary Weekend, but in the 4 trips I've made this year I've seen Albert every time. Opening Day he was at the gate greeting people after they had their tickets scanned. Next time I went I saw him bringing out strollers in that area. Third time I was eating dinner in The Mine and he came in to assist a guest who was in need of a scooter. He went to her table and talked to her for several minutes and then very politely led her through the kitchen area (presumably to a back exit on ground level). And the last time I was there he was working the booth where you can redeem tickets for season passes. In fact, I snapped a picture of him because he was helping my two friends get fixed up with passes.

We did get to meet Albert last week.  We were standing in the Hospitality House when my daughter said, "Hey, there's the guy from the TV show."  So we scooted out the door and followed him down to the turnstyles where he posed for a picture with my son.  He seemed kind of shy about the whole thing, but was very gracious to us. 

A couple of days later I was being helped at the stroller rental by a young man (I had lost my wallet and somebody turned it in.  God bless SDC patrons!)  I asked him if he had the opportunity to work with Joel Manby when he was there.  He said, no he wasn't working at the park at that time, but saw the show and applied for a job the next day.  Ironically he said he's replacing Albert who was to be leaving last week for Georgia where he will start his schooling and work at a Herschend property down there.

We saw Albert roaming the park on Saturday. He seemed to be enjoying himself as a true SDCFan on his day off.

The HFEC Undercover Boss is on at 10pm!! I just ran acrossed it on the guide. I know, only 5 minute notice, but I knew somebody would like to watch it!!
