Is the preferred parking available to non season pass holders ?  Can you leave and re-enter unlimited?
Preferred Parking is available to those without a Season Pass but it is $12.00 ($6.00 with a Season Pass).  I'm not sure about in and out privileges in the preferred parking lot.

Also, when we left the park Saturday, we had to get our hands-stamped to get back into the park, even though we had a Season Pass, they said we had to have our tickets and our hands stamped to re-enter the park.  Quoting from last weekend's "Path Finder", "Re-Admission.  If you leave and plan to return on the same day, you must get a handstamp and retain your ticket for re-entry."

Hm, that seems so bizarre! With the Season Pass, I would assume that I could leave, and return as often in one day as I wanted so long as I use my pass.

Perhaps, returning more than once in a day confuses their computer counting system? :P Still seems odd though.

sanddunerider

thats odd ???.  I know we have been in and out 4 or 5 times this year. no stamp.

BUT when we leave i just nod at the citizen by the exit door and tell have a good day. Never have told that person i would be back in a little while since i have the pass.

Possibly IF they know you intend to return, they want to stamp you?

Came up yesterday for a short Christmas trip. I'll be back today for a bit as well.

I'll write more later, but I have to say I'm really surprised at how small the crowds are this weekend. The only crowds I saw were for the Dicken's show. PK was closed the entire time I was there, but TGS was running until the park closed. I saw the RiverBlast was running as well, but it doesn't look like anyone wanted to ride. Maybe they didn't make it clear enough what it was?

All of the employees are great, as usual. Lots of great conversations in the shops.

Saw the outlines for HDH as well. They come awfully close to the swinging bridge, so it'll be interesting to see how that works out.

We were in SDC  18-21. Had a great time, but THE TREE was TOOOO LOUD! It hurt my ears while I was sitting in the cabin with the doors shut. I can only imagine what the little kids ears felt like. It was great to say hello to the workers we knew from our former visits.

^ I disagree about the tree.  I think it is at a good level.  My girls and I were standing by the planting beds between the homestead and the tree.  It was not to loud there.  There is a lot of BASS but that it there to make you feel the music not just hear it.

I love the tree. I think the volumes about right.  If they ever get rid of that thing, I'm going to buy it and put it in my front yard.  My neighbors will love me!  ;D

Got to be at the City Thursday night for a couple of hours, then most of the day yesterday, and had a great time.  The weather was perfect, and my son and I enjoyed taking a class at the C&C School.  We really enjoy Debbie Dance Uhrig and she remembered my son from last June because of his crazy costume.  (Wore Cowboy hat, John Deere Tee shirt, swim trunks and boots.)  Absolutely loved the Dickens Christmas Carol.  It was even better than when we saw it a few years ago.  This is really a neat time to be here.  I'm planning to go back tomorrow, and do some Christmas shopping.  Had planned to go this afternoon but were shocked they were parking folks clear down about a mile east of Indian Point Road, so decided that it wasn't worth it.  I plan to get there early tomorrow.
