Ok, lets get alil' silly here.. Have ya ever been hit by a bug, piece of gum, or anything else on any of the rides? I have a time or two. But the funny thing is, everytime i am on Powderkeg behind anyone with long hair, it is hilarious to watch their hair whipping around infront of ya. I've had hair just inches from my face, it is still funny tho'. Makes ya wanna give it a light tug, they'd prob'ly never know.
I have seen MANY packs of cigarettes & sunglasses go afly'n!! Almost caught'a pack once! :o

I have been lucky enough to have nothing disgusting fly at me when I'm riding at SDC, but once I was riding Powder Keg with my little sister and because of her constant screaming on every ride a bug flew into her mouth.

Nothing like that...but when I was an employee, it always amazed me at the number of sunglasses, caps, and cheap cameras that we would pick up after people got off rides. Also bags of taffy, popcorn, coloring books, city maps, and other novelty items and food sold at stores. Worst place for finding this stuff was the American Plunge, but a fair amount of stuff either left behind or dropped by someone occurred at Flooded Mine and the diving bell. A guy lost a really nice black Stetson hat at the plunge...flew off his head when he came down the big hill...we kept it for weeks, he never came back. Also there were people who left entire 35mm camera kits with telephoto lens behind on rides, some came back for them, some did not. Things were kept in a box at the rides for a few days, then if it was just cheap junk it was thrown out, the quality items got turned in to security. Where it went from there, who knows...but I think they had an end of the year sale or auction for unclaimed stuff.

At Disney World they have compartments on the rides where you can put stuff instead of having to put them into cubbies before riding.  It was very convenient to have those.  Is that something that SDC could eventually do in the future?  Obviously, some rides may not be able to have them due to space, etc., but I think that at least some of them could.

At PK and WF, they've got shadowboxes with broken phones, cameras, and some old-time coins & knickknacks displayed with a sign saying (paraphrased) "Here's what was lost today. Please secure all loose articles."

^A box is located at the Giant Swing as well.

^^The Riverblast has large boxes at the front and back for your goodies.  Perhaps future rides will follow suit.

Speaking NOT on behalf of WDW, but we HATE those netting bags that are included on the vehicles/trains, etc.... People forget their minds while on vacation and it makes for mucho grande headaches later on when they get a mile away and forget they left their entire passport, etc in the netting.  Oh, yeah and not to mention the fact that they shove even the biggest backpack into this pouch regardless of the size of the netting provided.

Used tampons. Women actually "changed out" while the diving bell ride was underway and left the nasty ones for us to clean up...no joke. :P

Also one of the scary things...very weird...was a man who handed me his business card as he got off the diving bell...after he and the rest of the crowd left, I looked at the card he handed me and it said "You have just been patronized by a member of the Ku Klux Klan." Again, no joke.

A vile containing a white powdery substance that made the drug sniffing dogs go "on point"

Once in the cave my older sister and I were first in line behind the guide and we spooked a bat the flew straight at us. she went left and I went right. I thought it was really awesome. I'm sure the people behind me were not amused.
