Does anyone know what the Old Christmas Tree Songs were before "Christmas On Main Street"?

Zephon

Carol of the Bells and The Hallelujah Chorus were the original songs.  I can find out the rest.

One song that was used was from "The Polar Express". I don't really know that it has a name but I do know that that's a Christmas on Main street song.

Were talking 1994-2006! Before Christmas On Main Street.

History Buff

I believe one was either Joy to the World or Deck the Halls by Mannheim Steamroller.  It may still be playing in the new playlist.

My bad. But I do believe that that polar express song started getting used in 2005 or 2006.

Well, not all new.  I know Carol of the Bells is still in rotation, and it was one of the first songs.

Joy To The World was indeed one of them.  I believe The Little Drummer Boy has been used.  Jingle Bells...? not sure.  I'll have to ask Kerry and get back to ya.

If you will check the SDC Website, under festivals, and look under Christmas...I think there is a listing of the current songs or the songs you can expect this year with the Christmas Tree.

Yep.  Carol of the Bells is for sure still there.

OK...I talked to Kerry today, and together, we figured out what songs have played on the Christmas tree from the start til when it was redesigned.  The first two have been pretty much regulars every year, the others added and/or dropped from year to year.

The Carol of the Bells
The Hallelujah Chorus
Joy To The World
Jingle Bells
Ode To Joy
Here We Come A Caroling/God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen Medley
Christmas Hymn
Do You Hear What I Hear
