How-doFolks

where would you wanna work at SDC if you are not a citizen?

1  Train robber. I like being funny & dont mind making fun of myself.

2  Cave guide. Ofcourse i would have to learn lots more about all the history of everything.

3  Park custodian. This job probably has its ups & downs, but it'd be fun to interact with the park guests & help them out if they needed something.

4  Any ol'school ride or conductor for the train. Serious work, yet fun.

Anyone else?
I know work is work & fun is fun, & ya have to seperate them sometimes. Ya just have to be mature enough to know when.

Junior

Well...I've been a river rat at the float trip, a funnel cake guy, got to be Junior Dugan for several years at the diving bell...had fun in the mansion and the treehouse...worked in most of the restaurants and many concessions, washed dishes in the commercial kitchen there...took part in feuds, street shows, worked the greeting line. Hummmmm...would I do it over again. IN A HEARTBEAT! If you can ever work out at SDC, I highly recommend it!
"Howdy there folks! My name is Junior Dugan, and I'll be drivin' your diving bell!"

Joy

I wanna work the turnstiles. I wanna be one of the first Citizens people meet going into the park, greeting them with a smile and telling them they have a great past ahead of them!

I'm also interested in being an Image Character. If not as Becky Thatcher (since they don't seem to be doing Tom and Huck), then as my own character that I've been developing for a series of stories based in and around Marmaros/SDC.

Man, I'd love to think up all the signs and old advertisements in the park.  I'd bring back more of the hand painted stuff!

I would also love to travel and buy antiques to place around the city.  In essence, I want to theme, theme, theme!

I'd have to say one of the Bolins or a craftsman (if i had the skills).

Other than making the theme and attraction decisions, I'd have to be a character/performer.

Oh yeah!  I'm right there with you HB.  I guess I wasn't dreaming big enough.  I've dreamed about building and theming a park over half my life.  I'd really like to build SDC of the Black Hills.  We don't have as long a season, but we draw from a big area and we have the mining which is part of the whole SDC theme!  One of the canyons just outside Rapid City would be perfect!  How about it HFE?
