Who can forget the waterboggin, a one-of-a-kind water attraction that was actually two-of-a-kind if you notice it’s surviving twin at Dollywood. The WaterWorks Waterboggin started out as Wilderness Waterboggin in the 1980’s and was a well-loved water slide using unique oversized rafts. The inexplicable conversion to WaterWorks Waterboggin in 2003 was supposed to make it wilder… but it apparently over-succeeded in doing so. The ride was shut down after a few years, and rumors say it was due to the occasional overly wild ride due to the new curves that were added.
